The drum cutter is a dedicated milling attachment for excavators. Driven by the host hydraulic motor, the drum with carbide picks rotates to cut materials. Different from the impact crushing principle of breaker hammers, it generates little impact and low noise during operation with minimal flying debris.
This attachment is available in transverse and longitudinal versions, compatible with excavators of various tonnages for a wide range of working conditions. It can carry out thin-layer milling of asphalt and concrete pavements and trenching for water supply and drainage pipelines to form neatly profiled trenches. It is also used for tunnel lining profiling, slope shaping, stripping of weathered rock and frozen soil, as well as selective partial demolition of old buildings. It breaks concrete in a targeted manner while preserving the surrounding intact structure. The milled surface is smooth, and the cuttings are uniform in size.
